With passion & hope for life, we planted a little story
endured & shaped by the storms, it emerged in all its glory
Sprouting from the dirt, its intentions obscure (from the ashes)
projecting a future with no defined contour
nurtured in the drought, by angels & admirers
hidden from the reapers and the scorch of the fires
the gift from above & the blessings of rain
It flourished in moon light & life would sustain
lovers near by, drew close in its presence
auras of affection, flow out of this pleasance
As all life has its time, winter winds would prevail
it withered it wilted, grown so ever frail
while its life is now gone, a new can be reborn
a rose resurrected, from the blood of its thorns
robbed of its essence
the garden gates close
